Marks of Mission
MAF’s Mission Mandate
MAF’s mission mandate starts with God’s heart for mission - God’s unconditional love for mankind, the church, society and all of creation. Mission involves everything God does in establishing his kingdom in the whole world in all its fullness. This means Mission is not primarily a human work; it is something that originates with God Himself.
Vision Statement To see isolated people changed by the love of Christ
Mission Statement Serving together to bring help, hope and healing through aviation
MAF states that its vision is for people to be changed. But it acknowledges that this change does not happen through human work alone. Jesus’ love for humanity is the foundation for God’s work to bring about true change.
MAF states that its mission is to use aviation to bring help, hope and healing. These three words (help, hope and healing) have a physical and a spiritual dimension and are mutually supportive and complementary. Bringing help, hope and healing involves meeting both physical and spiritual needs and is another way to embrace the concept of integral mission.
