Donovan joined MAF International in September 2025 after serving as CEO of MAF UK. He has extensive leadership experience from senior roles in international Christian organisations, including National Director of YWAM, nineteen years with Mercy Ships, where he was Ship Director and CEO, and Chief Strategy Officer at Hope for Justice. Focused on organisational strategy and architecture, he has led complex change initiatives across federated and international structures emphasising unity, innovation, and impact. Guided by Micah 6:8, Donovan aims to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God in his leadership, reflecting these values and attributes through service worldwide.
Marta has 27 years of experience, beginning in the private sector where she progressed from audit roles to senior corporate positions in compliance, financial management and process and organisational restructuring. She transitioned to the humanitarian sector in 2020 to coordinate global risk management for the Danish Refugee Council and then became Director of Finance for the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO). Marta holds an MA in European Studies, MSc in NGO Management, ACCA, and ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting. She is enthusiastic about harnessing private-sector expertise to maximise social impact, guided by Christian faith and values.
Craig is an accomplished marketing and development specialist with a career spanning 30 years, leading global brands, humanitarian organisations and creative industries. Craig currently serves as Chief Marketing and Development Officer for the UK engagement unit where he oversees integrated marketing, mass market fundraising, brand strategy and is part of the Marketing Development Steering Team (MDST). Prior to this, Craig spent several years as Chief Development Officer at Hope for Justice, shaping international fundraising, partnerships and marketing to support anti-trafficking programmes worldwide.
Norman joined MAF International as the Chief Operations Officer in July 2020 with more than 25 years of international aviation experience. He previously served with Airbus as Senior Vice President, Digital Solutions, and with GE Aviation most recently as President and CEO for the Business & General Aviation turboprops engine business. Prior to GE, Norman was with Cessna Aircraft Company where he most recently led the Citation CJ4 program from concept to delivery. Norman is a licensed commercial pilot with type ratings, instructor pilot, and maintenance engineer.
Carel has served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for MAFI (operations) since 2022. He started his 40-year HR career in the chemical industry and then worked in consumer goods and health care before occupying senior HR roles and serving as Interim CEO within the Salvation Army.
Bryce’s background is in advertising and graphic design. He spent more than 30 years working with Mercy Ships, most recently as the Executive Director of Global Corporate Partnerships, pioneering cross-border Corporate Partnerships. Prior to this, he was the CEO of Mercy Ships Switzerland, and then the first Executive Director for Mercy Ships Global Association where he focused on coordination, collaboration and communication among national directors and global leaders to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their global efforts.
