After meeting a representative from KMS Tools’ ‘Tools For the World’ program in 2022, Tim Neufeld and the team at MAF Papua New Guinea put together a wish list. Nine months later, that shipment has arrived!
Recently, Canadian MAF Pilot, Tim Neufeld, stood in the hangar in PNG, getting ready to open a large wooden crate, “Last summer when I was in Canada, I met a man who worked with KMS tools, and that's where I learned about their ‘Tools for the World’ program. I thought, ‘Hey, that would be really good for our team in PNG!’
“We went on to put together a list last August, and now that the tools have arrived, it feels like Christmas! This crate has been on an around the world journey to get here; it was delayed in customs, and misplaced on a wharf for a while. But it has been worth the wait, and we are so excited to open it and see all the tools that we have received.”
The crate contained carpentry tools, wrenches and sockets, gear pullers, and other tools for the vehicle and property maintenance team, and will be used for maintaining the MAF PNG vehicle fleet and 70 staff houses and other MAF properties across the country.
Tim continued, “Our team needs tools to work, just like other tradesmen around the world. But good tools are hard to find here. Things can be busy, but the maintenance team helps take a load off of us all by helping take care of our vehicles and houses - they get things done, and we know we are in good hands!
“I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in getting this shipment to us in PNG. Thank you to Lori and her team at KMS Tools for their ‘Tools for the World’ program, and to Ocean Air Freight who helped us with shipping, and also to New Line Crates who donated this crate. We appreciate this gift, and we know these tools will go to good use!”
